Outbound Mission

Event Details

The Western U.S. Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA®), the Washington State Department of Agriculture, the New Mexico Department of Agriculture and the California Department of Food and Agriculture announce participation in the following activity:

Outbound Trade Mission to India – November 1 – 7, 2015:  New Delhi & Mumbai

This will be an excellent opportunity for companies to participate in the growing Indian market. USDA’s Exporter Guide sites India as one of the world’s fastest growing large economies. By some estimates, India is projected to become the world’s third largest economy by 2025. Indian consumers consider US food products safe and of high quality. Retail is slowly transforming in both urban and rural areas, and residents have growing exposure to international products. This results in demand for high quality imported food items by high end retailers and foodservice outlets in India.

The mission will begin in New Delhi and end in Mumbai. In each location participating WUSATA companies will attend one-on-one business matchmaking meetings with buyers targeted for their product line, receive a market briefing, site visits and market tours, and coordinated group transportation.

WUSATA will provide:

  • Custom one-on-one appointments with pre-qualified buyers
  • Coordinated group transportation to meetings
  • Airfare between New Delhi and Mumbai
  • Up to six nights lodging at U.S. Government per diem rates at designated hotels
  • A market briefing and market tours in each location

Company delegates are responsible for:

  • International airfare into New Delhi (arriving no later than November 1) and returning from Mumbai (on or after November 7)
  • Meals and incidental expenses
  • Arrangements for product sample shipments
  • Obtaining India travel visa

Note: One participant per company. Limit one representative per company – additional company delegates may participate at their own expense. To add more particpants, please contact the project managers, or contact WUSATA directly at 360-693-3373.

Additional information: WSUATA is collaborating with SUSTA on this mission, and we will conduct meetings jointly in both locations.
